WordPress Manager discovers account-owned WordPress sites and brings installation, updates, plugins, themes, administrators, maintenance, debugging, cache, recovery, and removal into one scoped workspace.
Where to find it: Open the account and choose WordPress.
Available to: The account user for their own account, plus root or the owning reseller when working inside that account. The item may be hidden when its feature profile or required service is disabled.
What this page does
Use it for routine WordPress lifecycle work without granting server-wide access. SHM runs supported actions as the account identity and validates the selected site path under that account.
Before you start
Take a current backup before core, plugin, theme, administrator, recovery, or removal changes. Confirm the exact site path—an account can host several WordPress installations, all equally convinced they are the important one.

Official plugin and theme installation
The public API and AI catalog include installation endpoints that accept official WordPress.org slugs and retrieve packages through the permitted WordPress.org/downloads.wordpress.org flow. They do not accept caller-supplied archive URLs, arbitrary uploads, or a force flag. These endpoints are available to authorized automation even when the same install form is not presented as a separate button in the current UI.
Recovery packs
Recovery packs are explicit, bounded actions for one account-owned site. Review the selected pack and optional plugin or theme target first, then test the public site and administrator login. They are recovery tools, not a reason to skip a backup.
How to use it
- Select the detected site path or complete a supported installation.
- Run a backup and review current site health.
- Choose one lifecycle action and read its target.
- Wait for a final SHM result.
- Test the public site, administrator login, scheduled behavior, and relevant logs.
- Keep the backup until the customer accepts the result.
Result and next check
The selected account-owned site reflects the requested WordPress change and remains reachable from both its public URL and administrator workflow. SHM records the supported operation; WordPress and application tests prove the site still works.
