Restore Points

Restore Points documents the recovery workflow for protecting hosting data, finding restore points, selecting the correct scope, and validating the result before customer handover.

Where to find it: Sign in as root, open Server > Backup, then choose Restore Points.

Available to: Root only.

What this page does

Use Restore Points to find the correct backup source, understand what will be created or restored, choose the safest target, and monitor progress until the operation is complete.

Before you start

A restore may replace current data. Confirm the restore point, target, scope, free space, customer approval, and what will happen to newer files or records before starting.

Why use it — and when not to

Use Restore Points to create, find, inspect, or recover the documented backup scope. Do not start a restore until the point, target, replacement behavior, and customer approval are clear.

How to use it

1. Open Restore Points in the correct role and confirm the selected target.
2. Review the current values before editing them.
3. Change only the fields required for the task and read any confirmation carefully.
4. Wait for a final result, then test the affected service or resource.

Result and next check

A successful backup creates a usable restore point; a successful restore replaces or recreates only the selected scope. Do not call a job complete until its final status and the recovered service have both been checked.
