Mailing Lists
Mailing Lists creates and manages Mailman distribution lists for an account-owned mail domain, including members, subscription policy, moderation, archives, digests, message limits, spam controls, and automatic responses.
Where to find it: Open the account, choose Email Accounts, then open Mailing Lists.
Available to: The account user for their own account, plus root or the owning reseller when working inside that account. The item may be hidden when its feature profile or required service is disabled.
What this page does
Use it when one list address should distribute approved messages to a managed group. Use a normal mailbox or forwarder instead when the requirement is simply one inbox or one-to-one routing.
Before you start
Mailman must be installed through the server Services plan, and the account must own the selected mail domain. Decide who can subscribe, who may post, whether messages require moderation, and whether archives may contain customer or confidential content.

Delivery controls
Maximum message size and recipient limits protect the service from unexpectedly large distribution work. Moderation and held-message actions decide whether a message is accepted, rejected, discarded, or left for review. Configure list autoresponses sparingly so administrative feedback does not become a new source of mail loops.
Privacy and archives
An archive may outlive a member's subscription. Choose public or private archive behavior deliberately, tell members what is retained, and avoid distributing secrets through a list that was designed for broad membership.
How to use it
- Create the list on an account-owned mail domain.
- Set owner, description, policies, size and recipient limits.
- Add a small test membership.
- Configure moderation, archive, digest, spam, and header rules as required.
- Send member and non-member test messages.
- Verify delivery, held-message behavior, archives, and Mail Delivery Reports.
Result and next check
The list address distributes only messages allowed by its current policy, members receive the intended delivery mode, and moderation or archive behavior matches the documented customer expectation.
