DNS Zone Editor changes records and DNSSEC state for one account-owned zone.

Where to find it: Open the account, choose DNS Manager, then open DNS Zone Editor.

Available to: The account user for their own account, plus root or the owning reseller when working inside that account. The item may be hidden when its feature profile or required service is disabled.

What this page does

Use DNS Zone Editor for the selected hosting account. SHM checks role, ownership, feature availability, limits, and target identifiers before it accepts a change.

Before you start

A correct record in SHM does not change registrar delegation, and public DNS may remain cached until its TTL expires. Confirm who is authoritative for the zone before editing it.

Why use it — and when not to

Use DNS Zone Editor for zones or records that SHM is authorized to manage. Do not use it to assume registrar delegation or a third-party authoritative zone changed automatically.

How to use it

1. Open DNS Zone Editor in the correct role and confirm the selected target.
2. Review the current values before editing them.

4. Wait for a final result, then test the affected service or resource.
