Resellers

Give a reseller permission to create and support their own customers' hosting accounts.

Where to find it: Open the Server menu and choose Resellers.

Available to: Root only.

What this page does

Reseller pages help providers separate responsibility between the platform owner and customer-facing resellers. They cover ownership, account delegation, limits, packages, access expectations, and operational boundaries so resellers can serve customers without receiving unnecessary server-wide control.

Before you start

Resellers can affect server-wide or multi-account behavior. Review the current state, expected service impact, and rollback path before applying a change.

Why use it — and when not to

Use Resellers for the resource described on this page. Choose a narrower account or reseller page whenever the task does not need server-wide authority.

How to use it

1. Select the hosting account that should become a reseller.
2. Assign the reseller plan and review the account and resource allowances.
3. Check which customer accounts belong to the reseller before handing over access.

Delegated management and reseller packages

Create or select the reseller, assign the intended reseller package, and review ownership and capacity. A reseller identity is not root: account creation, package/profile editing, DNS, AutoSSL, ModSecurity, logs, and audit remain within its delegated scope.

Use the explicit reseller API namespace for integrations that should keep the reseller boundary visible. Root may select a reseller; a reseller key may select only itself. See Reseller API.
