Reseller Package Details

Review or change a reseller plan's account and resource allowances.

Where to find it: Sign in as root, open Server > Configuration, then choose Reseller Package Details.

Available to: Root only.

What this page does

These pages convert product plans into enforceable policy: quotas, CPU/RAM/process controls, domains, mail, databases, FTP, shell access, feature visibility, and default settings.

Before you start

Plan changes can affect more than one account, while account defaults normally affect future account creation. Check the page's apply scope before assuming existing customers will change automatically.

Why use it — and when not to

Use Reseller Package Details for policy that should be repeatable. A one-account exception belongs in the account workflow, and a changed reusable definition must not be assumed to have rewritten every existing account.

How to use it

1. Open the reseller plan and review its allowances.
2. Change the intended limits and check how existing resellers will be affected.
3. Save and verify the resulting allowances for an assigned reseller.

Capacity and downstream account policy

The package separates sellable reseller capacity (accounts, addresses, and aggregate storage/resource ceilings) from policy for downstream accounts. Review CPU, memory, process, inode, disk bandwidth/IOPS, shell permission, and permission for unlimited account disk space.

Use 0 only where the reseller field labels it as unlimited. A package does not grant root control, another reseller’s accounts, or a host capability that is unavailable. After changing a reseller package, verify the effective capacity shown when that reseller creates or edits an account.
