Create Feature Profile

Create a reusable selection of tools to make available to customers.

Where to find it: Sign in as root, open Server > Configuration, then choose Create Feature Profile.

Available to: Root and resellers. A reseller sees only delegated accounts and provider-approved packages or features.

What this page does

These pages convert product plans into enforceable policy: quotas, CPU/RAM/process controls, domains, mail, databases, FTP, shell access, feature visibility, and default settings.

Before you start

Plan changes can affect more than one account, while account defaults normally affect future account creation. Check the page's apply scope before assuming existing customers will change automatically.

Why use it — and when not to

Use Create Feature Profile for policy that should be repeatable. A one-account exception belongs in the account workflow, and a changed reusable definition must not be assumed to have rewritten every existing account.

How to use it

1. Enter a name that describes the intended set of tools.
2. Select the features customers should be able to use.
3. Save the profile and assign it through the appropriate hosting plan.

Feature profile behavior

Choose a clear profile name and either Allow All Features or an explicit allowed-feature selection. A disabled feature can hide its account menu item and block the corresponding operation; the menu alone is not the access permissions.

Service availability and ownership checks still apply to allowed features. For example, a database page depends on its database service, and Podman depends on supported runtime capabilities. Assign the profile through the intended account package/account controls and verify the resulting account navigation.
