Cloudflare DNS

Cloudflare DNS connects either an SDM-managed zone or a customer token and then manages the records and settings allowed by that connection.

Where to find it: Open the account and choose Cloudflare DNS.

Available to: The account user for their own account, plus root or the owning reseller when working inside that account. The item may be hidden when its feature profile or required service is disabled.

What this page does

Use Cloudflare DNS for the selected hosting account. SHM checks role, ownership, feature availability, limits, and target identifiers before it accepts a change.

Before you start

A correct record in SHM does not change registrar delegation, and public DNS may remain cached until its TTL expires. Confirm who is authoritative for the zone before editing it.

Why use it — and when not to

Use Cloudflare DNS for zones or records that SHM is authorized to manage. Do not use it to assume registrar delegation or a third-party authoritative zone changed automatically.
