Cloudflare DNS

Connect Cloudflare and manage the DNS records and settings available to your account.

Where to find it: Open the account and choose Cloudflare DNS.

Available to: The account owner, their reseller or the server administrator. Availability depends on the hosting plan and installed services.

Before you start

A correct record in SHM does not change registrar delegation, and public DNS may remain cached until its TTL expires. Confirm who is authoritative for the zone before editing it.

Why use it — and when not to

Use Cloudflare DNS for zones or records that SHM is authorized to manage. Do not use it to assume registrar delegation or a third-party authoritative zone changed automatically.

How to use it

1. Review the Cloudflare connection available to your account.
2. Choose the domain and record or setting you need to change.
3. Save and check the result in Cloudflare and on the affected service.

Managed zones and personal-token access

An SDM-managed Cloudflare zone is controlled through its managed DNS workflow; a personal-token configuration uses the account’s own authorized Cloudflare access. Check the selected zone and integration status before editing records or settings.

Record editing includes supported type/name/content/TTL, MX priority where applicable, comments, and proxy state for eligible records. Cloudflare cache/security settings and Purge Cache affect the selected zone. Re-read the remote record or setting after saving; a local success message alone does not prove propagation.
