User Interface Guide
SHM uses the same interaction patterns across root, reseller, and account pages, so learning a few of them makes the rest of the panel much less mysterious.

What this page does
This guide explains navigation, selected-account context, tables, filters, forms, background jobs, confirmations, result messages, and conditional controls.
Before you start
Always read the page title, selected account, domain, and role before using an action. Browser tabs can keep different account contexts, which is useful only when you remember which tab is which.
Navigation and search
The left menu shows only features available to the active context. Use its filter to find a visible item; use the header search for broader SHM resources. A missing result should trigger a role, ownership, feature-profile, and service check.
Tables and actions
Filters narrow the current data set, selection boxes enable bulk operations, and row actions affect the resource shown on that row. Refresh after a change when the page does not update automatically.
Forms and confirmations
Required fields identify the minimum contract. Optional fields still matter when changing ownership, routing, security, retention, or limits. Destructive confirmations are the final chance to notice a wrong account or domain, not a speed bump to dismiss automatically.
Jobs and progress
Provisioning, migration, backup, restore, scanning, and service changes may continue as background jobs. Wait for a final success or error; a progress bar at 90% is not a completed service.
Status language
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Success / completed | The requested SHM operation reached a final successful state. Verify the external result. |
| Queued / running | Work is pending or active. Do not start a dependent step yet. |
| Warning | The request may have completed partially or needs a decision. Read the message. |
| Error / failed | The operation did not complete. Preserve the error and relevant logs before retrying. |
How to use it
- Identify whether the task is server-wide, reseller-scoped, or limited to one account.
- Open the page that owns the resource instead of using a nearby page with a similar name.
- Read the page-specific prerequisites and impact before changing anything.
- Verify the result in SHM and from the customer-facing service.
Result and next check
You should be able to identify the active scope, understand whether an action is immediate or asynchronous, and know where SHM reports the final outcome.
