Configuration reference

Configuration reference explains each settings page, the scope it changes, and where its result becomes visible.

Where to find it: Sign in as root, open Server > Configuration, then choose Configuration reference.

Available to: Root only.

What this page does

Use Configuration reference to review and manage the corresponding server-wide policy. The page shows the supported values and applies them through SHM's normal validation and runtime workflow.

Before you start

Configuration reference can affect server-wide or multi-account behavior. Review the current state, expected service impact, and rollback path before applying a change.

Why use it — and when not to

Use Configuration reference for shared server policy or service state. Use the account page instead when only one customer resource should change.

How to use it

1. Open Configuration reference in the correct role and confirm the selected target.
2. Review the current values before editing them.
3. Change only the fields required for the task and read any confirmation carefully.
4. Wait for a final result, then test the affected service or resource.

Result and next check

SHM validates the submitted policy, saves it, and applies or schedules the required runtime changes. Verify the refreshed state and the affected service before leaving the page.
