DDoS Protection tunes connection and rate controls intended to reduce abusive traffic without pretending that one switch can stop every attack.

Where to find it: Sign in as root, open Server > Firewall, then choose DDoS Protection.

Available to: Root only.

What this page does

Use DDoS Protection for provider operations in the server scope. Read the current state first because actions here may affect several accounts or shared services.

Security controls can also block legitimate traffic. Review evidence first, prefer monitor or narrow exceptions where available, and verify both the protection and the customer service after saving.

Use DDoS Protection to reduce a specific, evidenced risk. Avoid broad blocks, global disables, or permanent exceptions when a monitor mode or narrower rule can solve the same problem.

How to use it

1. Open DDoS Protection in the correct role and confirm the selected target.
2. Review the current values before editing them.
3. Change only the fields required for the task and read any confirmation carefully.
4. Wait for a final result, then test the affected service or resource.

Result and next check

A successful action updates the selected SHM resource and returns a final status. Read that status and verify the resulting service before treating the work as complete.
