Create Account

Create Account turns a customer order into a provisioned SHM hosting account with a domain, username, owner, contact, package, IP policy, password, resource limits, shell policy, feature profile, and optional reseller role.

Where to find it: Open the Server menu and choose Create Account. Conditional items appear only when their service is installed and available.

Available to: Root and resellers. Resellers can use only their delegated packages, features, addresses, and remaining capacity; root can choose the owner and provider options.

What this page does

Use it for new customer hosting or a deliberately new reseller account. The selected package provides the repeatable limits and feature profile; explicit form overrides should remain exceptional.

Before you start

Confirm that the domain and username are unique, DNS ownership is understood, the selected package is correct, enough capacity exists, the contact address is valid, and the required services are installed. Generate a strong password and store it through the provider's approved secret handover process.

Provisioning inputs

InputWhat it decides
Domain and usernameThe primary hosted identity, account home, and generated service references.
OwnerRoot or the reseller responsible for the account; root controls this choice.
Package and feature profileQuotas, runtime limits, shell policy, mail policy, and visible account modules.
IP policyShared or permitted dedicated address assignment.
Password and contact emailCustomer authentication and administrative contact.
Reseller optionsWhether the new identity also receives an allowed reseller package and delegated capacity.

After provisioning

Open the new account and verify its owner, package, limits, feature menu, primary domain, generated web state, DNS zone, SSL readiness, mail, databases, file ownership, shell policy, and backup access. Registrar delegation remains outside account creation.

How to use it

  1. Select the intended owner, package, feature policy, and IP assignment.
  2. Enter the domain, username, strong password, and contact email.
  3. Review resource or reseller overrides and remove any that are not required.
  4. Submit once and follow provisioning progress to a final state.
  5. Open the account and complete the after-provisioning checklist.

Result and next check

SHM creates the hosting identity and its selected account resources, writes the account state, and generates the required service configuration. The account is ready for handover only after DNS, HTTPS, login, website, mail, database, and backup checks pass.
