Subdomains
Create addresses such as blog.example.com for separate parts of your website.
Where to find it: Open the account and choose Subdomains.
Available to: The account owner, their reseller or the server administrator. Availability depends on the hosting plan and installed services.
How to use it
- Enter the new subdomain name and select its parent domain.
- Choose its website folder and available settings.
- Create it, then check DNS, HTTPS and the website at its new address.
Domain type and account creation defaults
An addon domain and a subdomain can have their own document root and website settings. A parked domain is an alias and is not an independent cache target. For a subdomain, choose the correct parent domain and document root before saving.
New child domains may receive PHP/OPcache and web/cache defaults when root enabled the corresponding child-domain options in Account Defaults. Existing domains retain their saved settings unless you explicitly update them. Verify DNS, document root, PHP or application connection, SSL, and the actual website after creation.
