Module index
The module index is the shortest route from a hosting task to the SHM page that actually owns it.
Where to find it: Documentation > Hosting Manager > Module index.
Available to: Anyone reading the public documentation. The related SHM action still follows the role stated on its page.
What this page does
Use it when you know what outcome you need but not which menu item controls it. Each entry points to the current documentation page, not to an invented umbrella feature.
Before you start
Choose the smallest scope first: account before reseller, reseller before root. That one habit prevents an impressive number of avoidable support stories.
Main sections
| Section | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Server administration | Accounts, services, security, monitoring, backups, global configuration, licensing, and updates. |
| End user account | Websites, domains, mail, databases, files, apps, certificates, account security, usage, and backup access. |
| Reseller guide | Delegated account provisioning, ownership, packages, capacity, and support. |
| API | External automation using documented, role-scoped endpoints. |
| Troubleshooting and operations | Evidence-first incident handling and escalation. |
Common task map
| Task | Page |
|---|---|
| Create or edit a customer | Create Account or List Accounts. |
| Turn an addon domain into its own account | Addon to Account. |
| Choose server components | Services. |
| Route a domain to PHP, Node.js, or a container | Web Manager. |
| Protect HTTP traffic | HTTP Guard, ModSecurity, and per-domain Web Manager settings. |
| Improve and verify website cache | Cache Manager. |
| Investigate a site | Diagnostics Center, Logs, Health Center, and Resource Usage. |
| Manage a WordPress site | WordPress Manager. |
How to use it
- Describe the resource: server, reseller, account, domain, mailbox, database, application, or file.
- Choose the matching section and page.
- Check access, prerequisites, and impact on that page.
- Return here only if the task crosses modules.
Result and next check
You should arrive at one primary page and, at most, a small number of related verification pages. If the plan requires clicking half the panel, the task probably needs to be split into clearer stages.
