Backup Settings
Find the backup schedules, storage options and limits for your server.
Where to find it: Server > Backup.
Available to: Root only.
What this page does
Use schedules for what to back up and when, threshold limits for resource guards, restore points for recovery, and Enterprise Backup for the external platform integration. The current Configuration menu does not contain a separate Backup Settings entry.
Before you start
Choose a writable destination with enough space and retain a recovery point before changing a retention policy.
Backup setting locations
| Area | What to set |
|---|---|
| Schedules | Type, partition, timing, files/databases/mail, account selection, and retention. |
| Threshold Limits | Server load and destination disk-usage limits. |
| Enterprise Backup | Platform URL, schedule ID, and end-user visibility. |
| Backup & Restore Logs | The actual outcome of scheduled and restore work. |
How to use it
- Open Backup and choose the appropriate area.
- Review the current schedule, capacity, and retained points.
- Save the intended change and follow the next authorized run.
- Verify a completed restore point and test recovery for representative content.
Result and next check
Backup jobs produce usable points under the intended retention and resource policy. A saved configuration alone is not a completed backup.
