Website redirects and access restrictions
Redirect visitors to another address or restrict access to a selected website.
Where to find it: Account > Web Manager > the selected domain’s Redirects or Restrictions controls.
Available to: The account user for their own account, root, and the owning reseller, subject to the assigned feature profile and installed services.
What this page does
A redirect sends a visitor to another URL. A restriction decides which clients or known bot signatures may reach the selected website. Both require the exact selected website; the account main domain, addons, and subdomains are separate settings targets.
Before you start
Check existing application redirects and DNS before adding another redirect. Keep your current source IP allowed when enabling allow-only access and verify the selected expiry for a temporary restriction.
Redirect options

| Path / URL or Full Domain | Choose a specific source path/URL or a whole-domain redirect. |
| 301 or 302 | Use the permanent or temporary status that matches the move; test carefully before relying on a permanent redirect. |
| Source and destination | Enter the source path and intended destination path/URL. Avoid a loop back to the same effective URL. |
| Keep visitor query string | Preserves request query parameters when that is intended. |
Restriction options
IP Access Mode can be Off, Temporary allow-only, or Permanent allow-only. Temporary periods range from 15 minutes through 30 days in the current selector. Maintain the allowed-source list deliberately. Denied IPs and known bot signatures are separate controls; use the available signature picker and review what is blocked for the selected domain.
How to use it
- Select the exact domain in Web Manager.
- Add a narrow redirect or restriction and review its target, status, query-string behavior, or expiry.
- Save and test from a fresh browser request.
- For restrictions, test an allowed and a disallowed client source and check the intended recovery path.
Result and next check
Visitors reach the expected destination or receive the intended restriction, while unrelated domains continue to use their own policies.
