Server Logs

Read server logs to investigate a service problem or recent activity.

Where to find it: Open the Server menu and choose Server Logs.

Available to: Root and resellers. A reseller sees only delegated accounts and provider-approved packages or features.

How to use it

  1. Choose the service and log file related to the problem.
  2. Find entries around the time it occurred.
  3. Record the error message and check the named service before making changes.

Selecting and interpreting logs

Select the relevant domain or FTP user and the exact log file. Line limits bound what is loaded; Search in view searches the loaded content, not an unlimited server history. Use paging, auto-refresh, wrap, copy, or download according to the selected view.

Access analytics can analyze a chosen recent line window and filter the results by method and other supported fields. Raw logs and summarized analytics serve different purposes. Preserve the timestamp, target, and original error before making a change; check new entries afterwards rather than treating old errors as a current failure.
