Email Spam Settings

Adjust spam filtering and choose which senders to allow or block.

Where to find it: Open the account, choose Email Accounts, then open Email Spam Settings.

Available to: The account owner, their reseller or the server administrator. Availability depends on the hosting plan and installed services.

Before you start

Mail changes affect delivery and sometimes existing client connections. Confirm the exact address or domain, preserve credentials, and use delivery reports or the queue to verify the result.

Why use it — and when not to

Use Email Spam Settings for the selected account or server mail workflow. Use DNS Manager, Services, Mail Queue, or Delivery Reports instead when the problem belongs to delegation, service installation, queued transport, or delivery evidence.

How to use it

  1. Review the spam threshold and current sender rules.
  2. Adjust the threshold or add the intended allow or block entry.
  3. Save and check subsequent messages for unwanted filtering.

Spam threshold and allow/deny lists

Choose the SpamAssassin threshold deliberately: a lower score is more sensitive and can increase false positives. The page offers a standard setting and other sensitivity levels, plus Disabled where permitted. Maintain the whitelist and blacklist separately.

Server DNSBL/RBL filtering is another layer. Root may reject listed senders, mark mail as spam, or monitor hits according to Mail Server settings. A mailbox threshold change does not necessarily bypass a server SMTP-time rejection.
