Dashboard

Dashboard is the first operational view after sign-in. It summarizes the current SHM scope and points to accounts, service state, resource pressure, and work that may need attention.

Where to find it: Open the Server menu and choose Dashboard. Conditional items appear only when their service is installed and available.

Available to: Root and resellers. Root sees provider scope; a reseller sees only the accounts and resources delegated to that reseller.

What this page does

Use it for triage and navigation before changing anything. It helps distinguish a broad service or capacity issue from work that belongs inside one customer account.

Before you start

Dashboard is a summary, so refresh it and note the time. A healthy tile does not overrule a specific customer error, and one busy minute does not by itself prove a capacity problem.

Daily review

  • Look for unavailable services, pressure, failed jobs, or account conditions that need follow-up.
  • Open the specialized page behind the signal before taking action.
  • Use List Accounts when the symptom belongs to one customer.
  • Use Status, Monitor, Resource Usage, Traffic Monitor, logs, or queues when evidence points to shared infrastructure.

Root and reseller scope

Root can continue into server-wide administration. Resellers continue into owned accounts and delegated tools only. The dashboard does not enlarge the authority of the signed-in role.

How to use it

  1. Refresh Dashboard and record the current time.
  2. Identify whether the signal is global, reseller-wide, or account-specific.
  3. Open the page that owns that signal.
  4. Collect a second source of evidence before a disruptive action.
  5. Return to Dashboard after the work and confirm the summary changed as expected.

Result and next check

Opening or refreshing Dashboard changes nothing. The useful result is a correctly scoped next step and, after remediation, a summary that agrees with the specialized service or account check.
