What this page does

Use this page for short answers and then follow the linked feature guide for the complete procedure. It is intentionally practical rather than a replacement for change planning.

Before you start

Identify the exact domain, account role, and intended outcome. Similar-looking symptoms can have different answers when one domain is local and another uses Cloudflare.

Common questions

I created a zone. Is the domain live?

Not necessarily. The registrar or parent must delegate to the nameservers that serve the zone. Verify both authoritative answers and public NS records.

Why is Proxied missing?

It is available only for A, AAAA, and CNAME on an active Cloudflare-capable zone whose public delegation matches the assigned Cloudflare nameservers.

Is enabling DNSSEC enough?

No. Publish the returned DS at the parent and verify the complete chain. To disable, remove parent DS first.

Can I use root in the public API?

No. Create a dedicated non-root API user. Root is reserved from the external contract.

Where are the cluster API endpoints?

They are not customer API endpoints. Cluster peer communication is private; the public reference contains only the port-882 integration routes.

Can I preview a restore?

Yes. Select the restore point/file and use View contents before choosing selected or all resources.

Can AI Mode bypass my role?

No. Catalog, ownership, permission, and destructive confirmation remain server-side.
