Synconix Backup Manager

SBM helps providers manage backup schedules, storage destinations, restore points, logs, user access and self-service restore workflows from one secure control panel.

Synconix Backup Manager dashboard with example server and storage data

Centralized backup operations for production servers and storage nodes.

Centralized Backup Control

Manage production servers, storage nodes, schedules, backup points, logs, users and restore workflows from one web-based management panel.

Separated Backup Architecture

Keep the control panel, production servers and storage servers in separate roles so backups are not managed directly from the live workload.

Granular Restore Workflows

Restore files, folders, databases or selected content without turning every recovery into a full-server operation.

Built around product functionality, not generic feature lists.

Synconix Backup Manager is presented through the workflows operators need to perform: setup, control, diagnosis and recovery.

Connect

Add production servers, detect hosting panel context, connect storage nodes and verify link status.

Schedule

Create file and database schedules with include/exclude rules, timing, compression and retention.

Browse

Open point-in-time backups, preview content, download selected items and inspect restore scope.

Restore

Recover files, folders, databases, customer data or disaster-recovery targets from selected points.

A separated backup network, controlled from one panel.

SBM separates orchestration, production and storage roles. The Panel manages policies and visibility, Storage servers hold backup data, and Production servers remain focused on live workloads.

Centralized backup operations from one control panel.

Protect production servers, connect dedicated storage nodes, define backup schedules, browse point-in-time backup points and restore selected data from one interface.

Clearer backup tasks for provider recovery work.

SBM gives providers a secure way to schedule, monitor, browse and restore backups across many servers from one web UI.

Understand backup topology

See production servers, storage nodes, schedules, backup points and restore readiness before an incident.

Control backup policy

Define includes, excludes, frequency, retention, compression and storage selection as repeatable schedules.

Restore selected data

Open a backup point, inspect what is available and restore only the data required for the incident.

Functional product surfaces

Each section focuses on what the product lets teams do in the interface: the operating surface, the controls, the context and the recovery path.

Hosting Panel Plugins

Enable self-service restore for hosting customers through supported panel workflows.

  • cPanel/WHM users can browse backup points and restore files, folders, email or databases when enabled
  • Plesk environments can expose a similar self-service restore experience when configured
  • DirectAdmin is represented through server detection and production environment support wording
  • Provider oversight keeps schedules, logs and restore boundaries visible

Security & Access Governance

Backup access is a security decision, not only an operations decision.

  • Users, roles and permission sets for admins, operators, support teams or clients
  • Server and storage scoping across dashboards, schedules, points, logs and charts
  • 2FA support, IP allow-listing and SSH-based connectivity
  • Activity audit for sensitive user, role, server, schedule, license or setting changes

Monitoring & Logs

Backups should not be silent.

  • Live monitor for running schedules and active backup operations
  • Backup logs for file and database job messages
  • Warnings, errors, stopped jobs and long-running operation alerts
  • SMTP notifications and user activity history

Platform Operations

Manage the backup platform itself with production controls.

  • Domain and Let's Encrypt SSL settings
  • SMTP notification delivery and timezone control
  • Auto updates, version tiers and changelog visibility
  • License state, production server limits and profile notification preferences

Operational depth without losing control.

Each focus area is presented as a practical workflow with visible state, permissions, logs and recovery paths.

Hosting Provider Backup Network

Protect many hosting servers from one panel while keeping storage separated and recoveries organized.

  • Production servers
  • Dedicated storage nodes
  • Schedules
  • Customer restores

Customer Self-Restore

Enable customers to recover files, folders, email or database data from their hosting panel.

  • cPanel/WHM Plugin
  • Plesk Plugin
  • Backup points
  • Provider oversight

Incident Response

Use backup points, logs, monitor and activity history to understand what happened and what can be recovered.

  • Live monitor
  • Backup logs
  • Users activity
  • Selected restore

Questions teams ask before starting

The answers stay concrete and product-led, without promising certifications or guarantees that are not part of the public materials.

How does SBM move backup data?

Connectivity is based on SSH. The Panel instructs Storage hosts, Storage pulls data from Production with rsync, and restore flows push data back to the target.

Can customers restore their own backups?

Yes. Optional cPanel/WHM and Plesk plugins allow end users to browse and restore their own backups from their hosting panel UI when enabled.

How does SBM control backup access?

SBM uses users, roles, server and storage scoping, 2FA, IP allow-listing, SSH keys and activity logs to keep backup operations controlled.
